Disaster/Emergency Assistance

Connect2Help™2-1-1 has been preparing our response to potential emergency or disaster situations for several years and has provided assistance to the community during several state and local disasters including floods, tornadoes, heat waves and ice storms. Hurricanes Katrina and Rita marked an unprecedented use of 2-1-1 in central Indiana and across the country. 2-1-1 can play a vital role in assisting our community by providing a universal number for vital public information and safety tips after a disaster.

As a member of the county-wide and regional disaster response network, the primary mission of Connect2Help™ during times of emergency is to maximize community access to critical resources.

If you are interested in helping connect callers with resources during an emergency or disaster situation, you may want to become an Emergency Corp Volunteer.

Partnerships

Connect2Help™2-1-1 participates in agreements and partnerships with 911, the Red Cross and Emergency Management Organizations in central Indiana.
